Lyon have held talks with former AC Milan and Valencia boss Gennaro Gattuso to become their new head coach.
The 45-year-old has been out of work since leaving Los Che in January but is reportedly hungry to manage at top-level football once more.
Lyon set to appoint new head coach imminently
After former Brighton and Chelsea manager Graham Potter rejected the opportunity to take over at OL late last week, a number of names have been linked with the vacancy including Julen Lopetegui and current Lille boss Paulo Fonseca.
According to Fabrizio Romano, discussions with Gattuso held yesterday are understood to have gone well.

Lyon’s American owner John Textor will now meet with other candidates over the vacancy before making a decision imminently.
