Jurgen Klopp set for Reds stay
The German signed a new deal last year keeping him at Anfield until the summer of 2026. The bookmakers’ favorite for the job is the out-of-work Julian Nagelsmann- who was sacked by Bayern Munich in March.
The 36-year-old is technically still contracted with the Bavarians until 2026 and is still reportedly earning $143,000 a week from Bayern.
Bayern executive Uli Hoeness has vowed not to block Nagelsmann from getting the vacant Germany job following the sacking of Hansi Flick on Sunday, saying, “The deal would certainly not fall through because of FC Bayern”.
Under interim head coach Rudi Voller, DFB made a good start last night, beating World Cup finalists France 2-1 in a friendly in Dortmund.
