However, since the summer of 2019, the German has seen his opportunities limited at the Parc des Princes and despite still being contracted to Paris Saint-Germain, played against the Parisians twice last season in the Champions League whilst on loan at Benfica.
Despite his contract running into his last year, the Parisians are expected to receive $21.5m for Draxler from Qatari outfit Al Ahli SC.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Qatari club have booked in Draxler’s medical with negotiations entering into its final stages.
The German winger, who can also play as an attacking midfielder, has given the move the green light with a transfer likely to be completed over the weekend. Draxler has not played for Paris Saint-Germain since March 2022.
