USMNT under-17 international Adrian Simon Gill has tore his Anterior Cruciate Ligaments whilst in training for club side Barcelona.
Born in Denver, CO, Gill moved to Catalonia as a six-year-old due to his family’s work commitments and signed his first professional contract last March after entering Barca’s famed La Masia youth academy.

Adrian Gill suffers serious injury
Gill became a standout central midfielder for the Catalans at youth level and is still expected to reach the top level of the game as he continues to develop physically.
Despite having the opportunity to represent Spain at youth international level, Gill rejected the Spanish FA’s approach and instead turned out for the USMNT under-17’s side.
Gill was expected to be a key member of the USMNT’s under-17 side which are set to take part in the Under-17 World Cup in Indonesia later this year but he will now be ruled out.
