On Saturday, assistant manager and former Palace captain Paddy McCarthy took temporary charge for Palace’s late 3-1 defeat at Villa Park, in which they had led 1-0 until the 87th minute.
The 76-year-old returned to Palace’s training ground in Beckenham today and led training with the club confirming the former England and Liverpool manager will be back on the sidelines on Saturday.
In a brief statement posted on their social media platforms, Palace said: “We are delighted to confirm that Roy led training today and will be back in the dugout for Saturday’s fixture against Fulham.”
