New Arsenal shot-stopper David Raya has fired warning shots at Aaron Ramsdale who he has displaced in between the sticks for Mikel Arteta’s men.
Raya, 28, joined from Brentford in the summer on a season-long loan and it is widely understood the Spanish international will make his move permanent in 2024.

Ramsdale is a popular member of the Arsenal dressing room and amongst the Arsenal fan base. Mikel Arteta’s decision to exclude him in favor of Raya from Arsenal’s last two matches, both in the Premier League and Champions League, has been deemed harsh by many pundits.
However, Raya has come out fighting and is determined to make the number one spot his own.
Speaking after Arsenal’s 4-0 demolition of PSV Eindhoven last night, in which he kept his second consecutive clean sheet for the Gunners, Raya said, “When Aaron Ramsdale comes back in he needs to fight for the team and to win games”.
