Julian Nagelsmann set to take over Germany
The highly-rated 36-year-old is currently out of work after leaving Bayern Munich in March but is still under contract with the Bavarians until 2026.
Nagelsmann has now asked the Bundesliga champions to be relieved of his contract which threatened to scupper plans of his national team appointment.
An agreement is now in place between Nagelsmann and the DFB regarding his salary and contract, which is expected to be three years long.
The former RB Leipzig is expected to bring a small backroom team with him including Sandro Wagner and video analyst Benjamin Gluck
Nagelsmann now has the opportunity to lead his country in a European Championships on home soil which is set to commence on June 14 in Munich.
