A number of senior Man United players are still furious at the way that David De Gea was treated at the club over the summer.

The Spanish goalkeeper was allowed to leave the club at the end of last season, as the club failed to reach an agreement on a new deal.

Recent reports in The Sun have claimed that there is still anger inside the Old Trafford changing room surrounding the manner in which De Gea was allowed to leave the club.

The story claims that the goalkeeper was a hugely popular member of the changing room, and there was shock within the squad when he was allowed to leave on a free transfer.

De Gea’s exit marked the end of his 12-year association with the Red Devils, and was the winner of the Premier League Golden Glove in 2022-23.

United moved quickly to replace the Spanish stopper, as the club spent $50 million to bring Andre Onana to the club.
