Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has publically endorsed Xabi Alonso to take over at the club when he leaves his post.
As reported earlier today, the ex-Real midfielder has impressed Los Blancos’ hierarchy so much they are already preparing to offer him the job when Ancelotti expectedly leaves next summer to take over the Brazil national team.

Alonso played under the experienced Italian manager at Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, and Ancelotti has given the move the green light according to Fabrizio Romano, stating today: “I have coached Xabi, he’s doing a great job at Bayer (Leverkusen)”.

Speaking ahead of Wednesday’s match at home to Las Palmas, Ancelotti added, “He understands the game well, that’s why he’s a very good coach. I wish Xabi Alonso, Raul, Alvaro Arbeloa to become Real Madrid’s manager one day. I love all of them”.
