Former Manchester United central defender Phil Jones has taken to social media to announce he has begun working at the Red Devils’ academy.
The 31-year-old center-half left the club in June after his 12-year playing time came to a natural end at Old Trafford in June.
Start of a new journey. Great to begin the global football sport directorship course with the PFA business school, learning new things about the game, whilst also continuing to push ahead with my A licence and badges at the club that gave me so much.
Excited to get started. pic.twitter.com/a1SATTx4TP

Phil Jones starts back at Man United
Jones confirmed that he had begun working for United less than three months after being released by the club and has now also started the global football sports directorship course with the PFA business school.
Without referring to his retirement, the injury-prone defender is likely to hang up his boots now he has started his non-playing role at the club.
Jones failed to prove his fitness at United- leading to his release in June- and made just six Premier League appearances in his final four years at the club after arriving from Blackburn Rovers as a highly-rated 19-year-old in 2011.
