Manchester City star John Stones remains unavailable to head coach Pep Guardiola ahead of their Premier League trip to Wolves today.
The 29-year-old was a key part of City’s historic treble-winning success last season but is yet to kick a ball in anger in the Premier League this term as he recovers from a thigh issue.
John Stones set to return to action soon
Speaking ahead of his side’s tricky-looking trip to Molineux, Guardiola said, “John is not ready… He is better, much better. He feels really good. He is training alone but maybe next week or after Leipzig, he will start.”
The match after City’s game at RB Leipzig which Guardiola alludes to is City’s huge clash against title-contenders Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on October 8- which would signal City’s fourth and final away match in just 11 days.
