Barcelona president Joan Laporta has today met with La Liga president Javier Tebas to discuss the logistics of bringing legend Lionel Messi back to the Nou Camp.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Tebas has explained publicly that although a move from Barcelona was not impossible, it was still unclear how the Catalans will be able to facilitate the deal whilst also abiding by Financial Fair Regulations.

According to Tebas, “Today I don’t see his signings as feasible. But there’s a lot of time left, Barca can still make moves to get Leo. They can sell players, for sure — but they still have some players to register too”.
Since returning to the club as Barca president in 2021, Laporta has proved to be a bullish spokesman for the Catalans. On Monday, Laporta called the current Spanish Football Association’s investigation into evidence that Barcelona made payments to referees “a ferocious attack”.
