Liverpool target Joao Palhinha has had a $63m price tag slapped on him as Fulham aim to put suitors off making a move in the summer.
The 27-year-old Portugese international only moved to Craven Cottage last summer but a fantastic debut season has led to speculation that Palhinha could move to a bigger club in the summer. With suitors such as Liverpool and Bayern Munich reportedly impressed by Palhinha’s development, Premier League club Fulham have slapped a $63m price tag on the holding midfielder according to the news outlet Football Insider.
Liverpool keen on $63m rated Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha
It is perhaps one of the worst-kept secrets in European football that Jurgen Klopp is looking for a new midfield next season with Naby Keita, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all confirmed to be leaving the club in the summer and with Thiago Alcantara and Fabinho both struggling for form and fitness this season, Liverpool’s best midfielder currently is seen to be converted right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.
And Palhinha is seen to be a perfect candidate to plug the gap at the base of a tiring and ageing midfield as the Reds look to improve on this season’s efforts in which they currently sit four points behind the top four spots in the Premier League.
