Serie A champions Napoli are interested in signing $12m rated USMNT forward Jesus Ferreira this summer.

The 22-year-old has started the MLS season well for FC Dallas, scoring six goals in 11 matches and Napoli are looking to strengthen as they start next season as the defending champions for the first time since 1990.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Vitale, Napoli have contacted Ferreira’s Los Angeles-based agency Wasserman to enquire about the forward, who can also play as a number ten and on either wing. Colombian-born Ferreira has scored an impressive tally of eight goals in 18 matches for the United States senior international time but despite his good form, the forward only managed 45 minutes during the 2022 World Cup.

Ferreira would face stiff competition from Serie A player of the season candidate and top goal scorer Victor Osimhen, who has scored 28 goals in all competitions this season for the Neapolitans.
