German giants Borussia Dortmund will not hijack any deal to sign Arsenal’s Bayer Leverkusen-bound Granit Xhaka this summer.
According to Italian reporter Fabrizio Romano, the German club are not interested in the Swiss midfielder who is set for a summer move to Bundesliga rivals Bayer Leverkusen, who were knocked out by Jose Mourinho’s Roma in tonight’s two-legged Europa League semi-final.
No Borussia Dortmund or any other club in the race for Granit Xhaka at this stage. It’s only Bayer Leverkusen — and deal is very, very advanced. 🚨⚪️ #AFC

Granit Xhaka will move to Bundesliga this summer
Xhaka has only 12 months left on his current contract at the Emirates Stadium and manager Mikel Arteta is keen to offload the midfielder to his former Real Sociedad teammate Xabi Alonso at Bayer Leverkusen with a four-year deal set to be confirmed soon with the deal in a very advanced stage despite the Gunners’ still having two league matches still to play.
The 30-year-old will join Leverkusen for an approximate fee of $16.15m on a deal until 2027.
