According to the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Argentinian is all but ready to move to Anfield following the conclusion of the Seagulls’ brilliant season, which has seen them qualify for European football for the first time in their history.

Reds want World Cup winner as part of midfield rebuild
The 24-year-old has hit double figures for goals for the first time in his career this season as Jurgen Klopp looks to build a more creative than functional midfield this summer to help take the burden off the likes of Mohammed Salah and Darwin Nunez.
And according to Romano, Mac Allister’s move should be relatively straightforward with no concrete interest coming from Premier League champions Manchester City to potentially hijack the deal, despite reports from some sections of the media.
Mac Allister is set to be confirmed as a Liverpool player before 10 June, when he is expected to join up with the Argentinian World Cup-winning squad before their friendly matches against Australia and Indonesia.
