Serie A giants AC Milan have agreed a deal in principle to sign Japanese international Daichi Kamada on a free transfer.
The 26-year-old attacking midfielder is set to be out of contract at Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of the season and will bolster head coach Stefano Pioli’s thin-looking midfield options next term.
Daichi Kamada close to San Siro switch
Kamada has enjoyed a successful six-year stint in Germany with Eintracht Frankfurt, the highlight of which came last year when his side lifted the Europa League trophy in Seville following a penalty shootout victory over Rangers.
And according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Kamada’s move is close to being completed with the decision now up to the club on the conditions of the deal.

AC Milan have also shown an interest in forgotten Chelsea man Ruben Loftus-Cheek after the Rossoneri look to get over any potential hangover from their Champions League semi-final defeat to bitter city rivals Inter Milan and qualify for Europe’s premier competition next season.
Milan currently sit three points clear of fifth-placed Atalanta with only two matches left to play, starting with a tough test away to Juventus on Sunday.
