Liverpool have pulled out of a move for Chelsea and England attacking midfielder Mason Mount this summer.
The 24-year-old has preferred a move to Liverpool’s bitter rivals Manchester United ever since hearing about the Red Devils’ interest in acquiring his services last month.

And with Mount’s heart seemingly set on a summer switch to Old Trafford, as well as the $87m figure currently being quoted by Chelsea, Jurgen Klopp’s men no longer believe it is worthwhile to continue to pursue the midfielder according to The Athletic.
Liverpool have already brought in fellow attacking midfielder Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton this summer and will be more encouraged by quotes made by fellow-midfield target Ryan Gravenberch, who today told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, “I want to play more, preferably at Bayern. Otherwise at a club where I’ll 100% play. That’s my plan. I don’t want to have another year like the one I’ve just had.”
