Arsenal are just hours away from confirming the transfer of German forward Kai Havertz from London rivals Chelsea.
The Gunners have reached an agreement with the Blues for Havertz and are set to pay an initial fee of $78.5m for the Chelsea number 29 with a further $3.5m potentially owed to the West Londoners in add-ons.
The Gunners set to complete first summer signing
As reported earlier today, personal terms are set up in place for Havertz, who will become Arsenal’s first official signing of the summer.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the news on Twitter, stating that a long-term deal has been agreed with a medical set to be completed in due course.

Havertz is likely to be joined out the door at Stamford Bridge by Mason Mount, Mateo Kovacic, Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Hakim Ziyech, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Conor Gallagher, Joao Felix, and USMNT star forward Christian Pulisic in what is proving to be a huge and much needed high-profile overhaul by American owner Todd Boehly as the Chelsea owner determinedly seeks to balance the books following his $600m splurge on the squad after taking over last year.
