Manchester United are interested in making a move for Nicolo Barella after his transfer to Premier League rivals Newcastle broke down.
As reported yesterday, the Magpies were unable to reach an agreement over the figure for the Italian giants with the two clubs thought to be $30m away in terms of their valuation for the midfielder.
Manchester United smell an opportunity for Nicola Barella
And according to the Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, the Red Devils are sniffing around the midfielder with an eye for a goal.
The Old Trafford club is thought to be a far more attractive proposition than newly-qualified Champions League qualifiers Newcastle but with Inter unlikely to lower their asking price of $90m and with Barella still having three years left on his deal, a transfer will not be completed easily.
