Manchester United are expected to complete the signing of young defender Harry Amass from Championship outfit Watford this week.
The 16-year-old left-back has agreed to a long-term deal at Old Trafford, understood by The Athletic’s Adam Leventhall to be four years, expected to be announced soon.

The Watford graduate was involved with the Hornets’ first team last season and was an unused substitute for the FA Cup third-round tie against rivals Reading in January when Amass was only 15.
The signing of Amass will be one for the future, with the England under-16 international not expected to break through into the first team in front of established defenders such as Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.
