Manchester City have had a bid for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice worth a total of $115m rejected out of hand.

As reported by The Athletic’s David Ornstein, the bid was submitted last night but has immediately been turned down by Hammers chairman David Sullivan, who earlier this month admitted it was the England midfielder’s desire to leave the club.

West Ham holding out for huge offer

It is believed that West Ham will not accept a bid worth less than $127m and were left particularly unimpressed last night that the Cityzens did not meet them at their evaluation for the 24-year-old.

Despite only having 12 months left on his deal at the London Stadium, the Hammers want to hold out for a huge offer for their most valued player with Arsenal expected to come back with a third improved bid for Rice which will need to exceed the $102m plus $13m in add-ons offered by City last night.
