The deal between the two clubs was agreed at the weekend. Havertz’ transfer is expected to be announced today with the 24-year-old set to move for $82m.
Havertz’s three-year spell brought mixed fortunes following his $113.8m transfer from Bayer Leverkusen. Chelsea’s number 29 scored the winner in the Champions League final in his first season in a royal blue shirt but then struggled to kick on under the management of Graham Potter and then interim head coach Frank Lampard.
