Fabio Carvalho is set to move to German side Red Bull Leipzig on a season-long loan from Premier League giants Liverpool.
The Portugal under-21 international impressed during his first year with Jurgen Klopp’s side, providing highlights such as the winning goal in injury time against Newcastle and an equalizer in the League Cup defeat to Manchester City last December.
Fabio Carvalho moves to RB Leipzig on loan
Despite providing key moments for the Reds last term, Carvalho saw his first-team opportunities limited, making only 13 appearances in the Premier League last year.
Carvalho will join the Germans who have a reputation for getting the best out of young players such as Chelsea-bound Christopher Nkunku and Manchester City target Josko Gvardiol.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Carvalho’s deal is set to be announced shortly and will not include an option for Leipzig to buy when his deal comes to an end next June.
