Chelsea have submitted a formal bid for goalkeeper Robert Sanchez to Brighton as their summer overhaul continues.
The Blues have had a long-standing history of negotiating with the Seagulls and Sanchez is the latest name to be rumored with swapping the Amex Stadium for Stamford Bridge this summer with Moises Caicedo’s transfer to the Blues also continuing to progress.
Robert Sanchez wanted by Mauricio Pochettino
25-year-old Sanchez, known for his excellent distribution, would be seen as a serious contender to rival fellow Spaniard Kepa Arrizabalaga for the number-one spot in goal for the Blues.
According to The Athletic’s Andy Naylor, Brighton are yet to respond to the offer with the club’s long-standing relationship of dealings set to continue.

If Sanchez secures a move, it would mean the Blues have secured 10 players and members of staff from Brighton in the last year under the ownership of Todd Boehly.
Sanchez lost his place under Italian manager Roberto De Zerbi in March to Jason Steele and was left at home during the Seagulls’ pre-season tour of the US amid growing speculation about his future at the Amex.
