Tottenham are set to sign central defender Micky Van De Ven and teenage striker Alejo Veliz by the end of the weekend.
Van De Ven played every minute in 33 of Wolfsburg’s 34 Bundesliga outings last season with a personal highlight being his headed goal against Borussia Dortmund in a 2-0 win last November.

According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, Tottenham are waiting to receive the green light from Wolfsburg ahead of a permanent deal worth $55m including add-ons.
Once a fee is agreed upon, Van De Ven will fly to London this week to complete his medical alongside 19-year-old goal poacher Alejo Veliz who has already verbally agreed personal terms to a long-term deal according to Fabrizio Romano.

The news comes despite an unnamed top European club attempting to hijack Veliz’s move to Spurs at the last minute. The fee for Veliz is believed to be in the region of $16.4m as Spurs look to complete their fourth and fifth signings by Sunday following the arrivals of Guglielmo Vicario, James Maddison, and Manor Solomon.
