West Ham look set to splash the cash that they received for Declan Rice, as the Hammers have made a double raid on Manchester United for Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay.
However, reports from the Manchester Evening News have claimed that the Red Devils have rejected a $35 million bid for McTominay, as they believe the midfielder is worth closer to $50 million.
West Ham hope for progression on Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay talks
However, United are yet to respond to the $35 deal for Maguire. The England defender doesn’t appear to be part of Erik ten Hag’s plans this season, and the club are reportedly not going to stand in his way if he wants to leave Old Trafford.
Maguire stated that he wishes to fight for his place at the Theatre of Dreams this term. But, one eye will already be on the EUROs next summer, meaning that the defender will need regular game time to play a role in Gareth Southgate’s plans.
Reports have claimed that West Ham could return to United with an increased offer for McTominay, as the Red Devils could re-enter the market if players depart the club.
