Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte has agreed to a move to Saudi Arabia Pro League side Al Nassr after the club accepted a $32.5m bid late last week.

Laporte, 29, has lost his place in the City side over the last 12 months due to the arrivals of Manuel Akanji and Josko Gvardiol. According to Sky Sports, the Spanish international is flying to the Gulf State today to complete his move after five and a half successful years at the Etihad Stadium.

The left-sided central defender will reportedly earn a net yearly salary of $20m and sign a three-year deal at the Knights of Najd.

The move is subject to a medical after Laporte was left out of the matchday squad for City’s 1-0 win over Champions League qualifiers Newcastle United on Saturday night. Laporte will join former Premier League stars Sadio Mane, Alex Telles, and club captain Cristiano Ronaldo in Riyadh.
