Manchester United are weighing up back-up options in the full-back position after Luke Shaw picked up an injury, which will rule him out for six weeks.
The Red Devils will reportedly look to add to their left-back options before the end of the summer window. A move for former Chelsea defender Ryan Bertrand has emerged, according to reports in the Express.
Ryan Bertrand an unlikely target for Man United
The Red Devils were handed a fresh injury blow earlier this week, after it was announced that Shaw would be unavailable for the next month.
United already have issues in the left-back position, as Tyrell Malacia is already out injured. Bertrand could be an affordable option for the Red Devils, as the Englishman is available on a free transfer following his release from Leicester City.
However, the 34-year-old made just eleven appearances across all competitions over the course of two seasons due to injury. Bertrand was previously part of the Champions League-winning team at Chelsea in 2012.
