Manchester United have reached an agreement with French side Lorient to let Donny Van De Beek out on loan this season.
The 26-year-old has struggled to make a real impact at Old Trafford since joining from Ajax in 2020 and according to Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna, Ligue 1 side Lorient are close to pulling off a high-profile coup before the end of the summer window.

Donny Van De Beek set for Ligue 1 switch?
Despite the arrival of former Ajax head coach Erik Ten Hag at Old Trafford, Van De Beek has failed to show any of the form that convinced the Red Devils to splurge over $40m for his services just three summers ago.
It is yet to be determined if Van De Beek will agree to the move or hold out for a bigger club than the Bretons with his consent now the only sticking point before a season-long loan switch is confirmed.
