Barcelona have tonight completed the stunning double signing of Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo from Atletico Madrid and Manchester City respectively.

As reported by Soccer Times, the two Joao’s were waiting to sign their final contracts in a Barcelona city center hotel earlier today, and now the Catalan giants have confirmed the two deals for the Portuguese pair.

Unusually, parent club Atleti have also extended Felix’s contract at the Civitas Metropolitano for a further year to keep a strong value on one of their most prized assets. A deal for Felix will also include a significant loan fee for the Catalans to pay to their La Liga rivals.

As for Cancelo, the 29-year-old has decided to take a significant pay cut to play for the Nou Camp side. Speaking to the club’s official media team, the nomadic full-back said: “As a child, I dreamed of playing for Barça. Many of my idols played here. I’m very happy. I am very excited. I think it will be a good season, with a lot of commitment.

Both loan moves including Felix and Cancelo do not include options to buy at the end of the current campaign.
