Jadon Sancho is set to sit down for formal talks with Erik ten Hag this week, as his long-term future at Manchester United remains in the balance.
There is frustration from the player’s side, as he feels that he has been scapegoated by the coach, and took to social media after failing to make the squad for United’s 3-1 defeat at Arsenal before the international break.
Jadon Sancho set for talks with Erik ten Hag
According to reports in the Telegraph, it will be the first time that the pair have sat down and spoken since Sancho’s statement on social media over a week ago.
The English winger accused the Dutch coach of scapegoating him after ten Hag revealed that he didn’t believe that Sancho had done enough to merit a place in the matchday squad.
The 23-year-old was the subject of interest from Saudi Arabian clubs in the transfer window, but an agreement couldn’t be reached.
Sancho has struggled since switching from Borussia Dortmund for Man United, having scored just 12 goals in 82 matches across all competitions.
