Manchester United have announced that winger Jadon Sancho will train away from the first-team squad for the immediate future until a “disciplinary problem in the team is resolved”.
The 23-year-old was involved in a public spat with United boss Erik Ten Hag after being left out of the squad for the 3-1 defeat at Arsenal earlier this month. Taking to his social media platforms after the match, Sancho stated he had been made a scapegoat for United’s difficulties at the beginning of the season.
Jadon Sancho excluded from first-team responsibilities
Sancho has since deleted his message but the lasting effects of the argument are still clear for all to see.
In a brief statement released on their official website this afternoon, the Red Devils say, “Jadon Sancho will remain on a personal training program away from the first-team group — pending resolution of a squad discipline issue”.

As revealed yesterday, Red Devils bosses had considered selling Sancho in the summer transfer window if they received a bid in the region of $81.3m.
Now in his third season at Old Trafford, Sancho has done little to repay the $90m invested in him when then-manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer bought him from Borussia Dortmund- where he had previously excelled alongside other generational talents such as Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland.
