Real Madrid have earmarked a move for Chelsea’s Reece James next summer, as they assess options to replace Dani Carvajal.
The England right-back has been a player that the Spanish giants have been watching for a long time, and they could be prepared to offer a record fee to sign the player, according to Diario AS.
Reece James targeted by Real Madrid
James has been a key player in the early months under Mauricio Pochettino, and the Blues are keen to keep hold of their newly appointed club captain.
The 23-year-old recently signed a new deal at Stamford Bridge, which will keep him at the club until 2028.
However, the new deal isn’t warding off interest from Real Madrid, who are very keen to make their move once Carvajal calls time on his career. But, Chelsea will likely demand a huge fee in order to part ways with their talented full-back.
