Fulham would have been hoping that the new deal for their star man would put off potential suitors from making a winter move for the Portuguese midfielder.

However, according to Bild, Bayern Munich still have a strong interest in the player. The reports have claimed that the German champions could revisit a move for the Portuguese international in the January window.

Palhinha had been close to moving to the Allianz Arena on Deadline Day. However, a move to Germany broke down in the final hours, as Fulham pulled the plug on the transfer after failing to find a suitable replacement for the 28-year-old.
