New Tottenham Hotspur recruit James Maddison has been named the Barclays Premier League Player of the Month for August.
The 26-year-old attacking midfielder joined the club from Leicester City in June following the Foxes relegation to the Championship and was immediately appointed as a vice-captain for the Lilywhites.

In his debut for the club, Maddison provided two assists in the 2-2 draw at Brentford and went on to score in the away wins at Bournemouth and the 5-2 demolition of Burnley before the international break.
Maddison was presented with the award this morning at Spurs’ training ground ahead of their fixture at home to Sheffield United tomorrow afternoon.
