Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be set to return to AC Milan in some capacity over the coming months.
Reports at Football Italia have claimed that the legendary Swedish striker met with owner Gerry Cardinale this week to discuss the potential of Ibrahimovic talking up a boardroom role.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic open to Milan return
Ibrahimovic announced his retirement from the sport at the end of last season. He retired from soccer having scored 570 career goals across four decades. A total of more than 500 were netted at club level.
During his career, he represented some of the biggest clubs across Europe, including Juventus, Ajax, PSG, Barcelona, and Manchester United.
Ibrahimovic ended his illustrious career with a second stint at AC Milan. He joined the club from LA Galaxy in 2020, and the Swedish striker scored 37 goals across 78 appearances during his second stint.
He was also a key player in helping Milan end their ten-year wait for a Serie A title in 2021-22.
