We have reached gameweek 26 of the Premier League campaign. Our gameweek 25 ones to watch produced disappointing returns, with only Vicente Guaita returned points from our four choices. However, we hope that our gameweek 26 picks will do better, so here are your ones to watch for gameweek 26:
Jose Holebas (Watford, £4.8m)
The Greek full-back has been a major attacking threat this season for the Hornets. The veteran star has produced an impressive three goals and seven assists in the Premier League this season. No defender has been involved in more goals than Holebas this season in the top-flight.
Saturday’s opponents Everton have been poor in defence this season and have managed just two clean sheets on their travels. The fixture gives Holebas the chance of a haul at both ends of the pitch this weekend.
Felipe Anderson (West Ham, £7.1m)
The Brazilian endured a slightly slow start to his West Ham career. However, slowly but surely the former Lazio star has become more influential for the Hammers. Anderson has now scored eight Premier League goals and produced four assists.
An assist last time out in a 1-1 home draw against Liverpool ended a five-game run without returns for Anderson. A trip to London rivals Crystal Palace this weekend could afford the midfield a chance to add to his relatively impressive points tally so far this season.
In fact, five of the Hammers next six fixtures rank two in the FPL difficulty ranking. Anderson certainly represents good value for money at £7.1m.
Raul Jimenez (Wolves, £6.7m)
The Mexican international has featured a number of times in our ones to watch articles as he just provides such value. The striker on-loan from Benfica has risen in price from £5.5m at the start of the season to £6.7m.
Even at his current price, Jimenez looks to be a bargain. He has now scored nine goals and produced seven assists while producing attacking returns in his last three games. A home game against relegation-threatened Newcastle, a game Wolves are big favourites to win, looks to be a potentially profitable one for the striker.
With three of his next four fixtures ranking two or less in the FPL difficulty ranking, Jimenez is currently looking like a must-have player for any FPL team.
Michy Batshuayi (Crystal Palace, £6.5m)
The Belgian international striker joined Palace late on in the transfer window, joining on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season. The striker had been linked with a number of clubs prior to his temporary switch to Selhurst Park.
The 25-year-old has already made an impact for the Eagles, producing an assist in Eagles 2-0 win over Fulham, despite only making an eight-minute cameo from the substitute’s bench. Palace have needed a goal poacher, as Roy Hodgson’s side does tend to produce chances. However, the forward players seem to miss them. While not prolific in front of goal, Batshuayi scored some important goals for Chelsea.
A home game against an inconsistent West Ham side this weekend looks to be a promising one for the striker to add to his four-point haul from just eight minutes so far this season.
