The shock 3-0 defeat in the reverse fixture is Milan only loss of the season in any competition. The game also saw the Rossoneri fail to score for the first time this season. The visitors will know that Lille are unlikely to easy opponents.

Before the defeat at the San Siro, Milan had a decent record in the Europa League, as they were unbeaten in five games, having won four in normal time and one on penalty kicks. The visitors have a relatively inconsistent recent away record on their travels in the competition. However, they have scored at least two goals in their last three matches on their travels in European football secondary competition.

Conclusion

Lille are a highly exciting team with several quality players. Meanwhile, Stefano Pioli looks to also be developing a fine side of his own. The visiting coach will have learnt from the reverse fixture and we predict this game will end all square.
