Our gameweek seven FPL picks for season 2021/22

We head into gameweek seven of FPL on the back of a decent return from our gameweek six picks, as three players picked up points. We are hoping to do even better with our gameweek seven picks. Here are our gameweek seven picks:

Andreas Christensen (Chelsea, £5m)

The Denmark international is a potential bargain route into one of the best defences in the Premier League. He may be a slightly risky pick when it comes to rotation. However, Blues head Thomas Tuchel has several options at centre-back, Christensen seems to be in favour, as he has started five of his team’s six top-flight games this season.

If the centre-back does keep his place in the Blues starting line-up, then he could pick up a lot of points over the next few gameweeks, as Chelsea’s short-term fixtures look promising. The team from south west London host Southampton this weekend, a game that offers Christensen the opportunity to pick up points.

Bukayo Saka (Arsenal, £6.2m)

The young Gunners midfielder proved a bargain last season. He has already shown enough in recent games to prove that he could also be a shrewd acquisition this season for any FPL team. The England international looks to be finding his feet this season, as he now has a goal and two assists in his last two gameweeks.

His short-term fixtures don’t look terrible either, with the winger facing a trip to the south coast to face Brighton this weekend. At the price of just £6.2m, with decent fixtures to come, Saka is a low-risk and potentially high reward pick.

Raphinha (Leeds, £6.5m)

Although the Brazilian winger is a slight doubt for this weekend’s home game with Watford, he is expected to recover in time to feature. The winger heads into the game in a rich vein of form of late, as he has now scored in back-to-back matches, earning himself four bonus points in the process.

Apart from his potential bargain price tag, another attractive feature about the winger is his short-term fixtures. Leeds face no team over a three in the difficulty rating over the next nine gameweeks. That doesn’t always equate to points, but it certainly gives all Leeds assets a better chance of picking up points.

Raul Jimenez (Wolves, £7.5m)

The Mexican forward is just working his way back after an awful head injury. The former Benfica star scored his first goal since his return from injury in a 2-0 win over Southampton last time out. The goal also saw him pick up bonus points.

If he can get back to anywhere near his best, then Jimenez could prove to be a bargain at just £7.5m. The team from the Midlands have a decent run of fixtures in the near future, starting with a home game against Newcastle this weekend. If you are playing with three forwards, then Jimenez could well prove to be an ideal FPL asset for your team.
