Prediction and odds for the game: Tottenham (23/10) vs Liverpool (11/10)
We are backing over 2.5 goals to be scored at odds of 4/6
When: Sunday 06th November 2022, Kick-off 16:30
Where: The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
On Sunday afternoon, Tottenham will look to further their Premier League title ambitions as they welcome underperforming Liverpool to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Tottenham
Antonio Conte’s team currently sit in third place in the English top-flight table, five points behind local rivals Arsenal, who top the table. They are also just three points adrift of reigning champions Manchester City, who are second in the standings.
A midweek 2-1 win at Sporting CP in gameweek six of the Champions League saw Conte’s team qualify for the last 16 as winners of their group. The victory came on the back of a 3-2 win at struggling Bournemouth in their previous league game.
However, the result was part of a highly inconsistent recent run of form for Conte’s team in the English top flight, as they have won three and lost three of their last six matches in the Premier League.
A 2-1 loss against Newcastle in their last league match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium ended an eight-match winning streak on home soil. Spurs have also been highly prolific on home soil in the English top flight of late, having scored at least two goals in six of their previous nine matches. However, they have also conceded at least two goals in two of their previous three matches on home soil.
Liverpool
The men from Merseyside have been in poor form of late, as Jurgen Klopp’s team head into this clash on the back of two straight league losses against Nottingham Forest and Leeds. However, the Reds recorded their fifth consecutive Champions League win against Napoli. However, the 2-0 victory wasn’t enough to top the group, as the Italian team had a superior head-to-head record.
One factor in Liverpool’s poor form this season has been their results on their travels, as the visitors have not won any of their last five matches away from home in the Premier League.
Conclusion
This game could go either way. Tottenham head into this clash without the attacking talents of Heung-Min Son, Richarlison and Dejan Kuleveski, while Liverpool’s recent league form has been poor.
For our tips, we are looking to the goals market. The first bet we are backing is for both teams to score, as both teams still have enough attacking talent to cause their opponents problems. The other tip is for over 2.5 goals scored, for the same reason as backing both teams to score.
Our Tips: We are backing over 2.5 goals to be scored at odds of 4/6 and/or both teams to score at odds of 4/7. (All odds are taken from Bet365)
